After the defeat against PSG in champions league round of 16, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti praised Kylian Mbappe. He stated that he is the best player in Europe right now. Moreover, the Real Madrid head coach added that it was unstoppable to stop him. On the first leg of round of 16, champions league Real Madrid faced 1-0 defeat against Paris Saint Germain in Parc des Princes. However, Real Madrid are just 1-0 deficit which is not a tough job for the Los Merengues. But, PSG will appear with different tactics at Santiago Bernabeu on the 9th of March.
But, the positive side for the Spanish giant is that there is no away goal rule from this season. If Real Madrid wins the game with 2-1, still they won’t be defeated as per away goal rules. Thus, Real Madrid has to seek for the one goal lead against PSG at their home ground. As per Carlo Ancelotti, Kylian Mbappe will be the real threat for the Los Blancos. The Ultra Sur will keep the Santiago Bernabeu heated. The Ultra Sur is the local ultra fanbase of Real Madrid.
Post Match Talk: Carlo Ancelotti On Kylian Mbappe
Ancelotti said, “We will find good replacements of Casemiro and Mendy for the 2nd leg. PSG’s chances to go through are bigger, but going through is not impossible. We could not dominate the ball. We never wanted this type of play. We’ve defended well, but were not aggressive enough.” Further Carlo Ancelotti added, “Militão had a very good game. But there is no stopping Kylian Mbappe. He is simply unstoppable. No chances created and no possession. I am optimistic. No away goal rule is good for us. Moreover, Benzema did not get the ball often. I spoke with the referees and told them the yellow cards on Casemiro and Mendy were wrong decisions.”
Further, Carlo Ancelotti added, “We suffered from their press. Kylian Mbappe was outstanding. We should have been more aggressive, we were too conservative. Real Madrid will have 11 players on the pitch and 50 thousands watching at the Bernabeu. That alone gives optimism.”
