David Alaba Real Madrid

After serving the club for 16 years, their captain and center back Sergio Ramos left Real Madrid for PSG. Sergio Ramos asked for two years contract but Real Madrid only offered one year contract. Due to this negotiation problem and misunderstanding, Ramos left for PSG. Both the president and Ramos, didn’t move from their words. As a result, it finalized Ramos’ move to PSG. But, before Ramos left Real Madrid, Real Madrid had almost finalized the deal with David Alaba. It pushed the Ramos’ exit more firmly. Sergio Ramos had probably known that Real Madrid was not renewing with him at any cost. Moreover, Real Madrid signed David Alaba in a free transfer. Now, David Alaba is Real Madrid new jersey number 4. In the season 2021/22, we can see David Alaba and Eder Militao in Real Madrid back line as Varane is about to leave the club.

July 21, 2021, Real Madrid presented their new signing, David Alaba. They gave Alaba their legendary jersey number 4. Sergio Ramos used to wear the number 4 shirt when we used to play for Real Madrid. Now, Alaba received the number 4 shirt. David Alaba wanted to play as a midfielder in Real Madrid. But, currently it seems almost impossible. The presence of Toni Kroos, Modric, Casemiro and Fede Valverde does not provide space for Alaba in midfield position.

Currently, Nacho, Militao, and Raphael Varane are available in the center back position. But, Raphael Varane is linked with a move to Manchester United. Manchester United are proposing a bid for Raphael Varane. But, Varane is not pushing Real Madrid for the deal. He said that he want to have Premier League challenge. Varane added that he does not want to disrespect Real Madrid by pushing the deal to happen.

David Alaba Position In Real Madrid

Real Madrid is likely to lose their all time best defensive duo this summer. If Varane joins Manchester United, then David Alaba and Eder Miliitao will handle the centre back position of Real Madrid. It seems like a great challenge for both Alaba and Militao to accept one of the greatest challenges. Alaba used to play as a center back in Byaern too.

David Alaba was a brilliant player in Bayern Munich. He spent 10 years in Bayern Munich. During the ten years, he won everything with the German club. Alaba won 2x champions league, 6x German cup, 10x Bundesliga and 2x FIFA club world cup. Along with these titles, Alaba also won 2x UEFA super cup and 5x German super cup. Altogether, David Alaba won 27 titles with FC Bayern Munich. Now, Real Madrid signed David Alaba for Sergio Ramos’ replacement.

How Will The Militao/Alaba Duo Perform In The La Liga ?

As we have already seen the game play of both the center backs. We saw Militao dropping masterclass last season in the absence of Ramos. Real Madrid signed the Brazilian center back from FC Porto in 2019. We have also seen Alaba’s versatility from the defense to midfield and attack. The thing is that we haven’t seen them together in the same league. So, this reason forces us to think that will they able to handle the La Liga striker’s attack? Both are talented and Militao has already faced La Liga attacks. So, it becomes quite easy for this duo to handle the pressure from the opponents. So, do you think that David Alaba and Eder Militao can control the center defense without Varane and Ramos?
