Liverpool seems unstoppable in the Premier League
Liverpool registered 3-1 victory over Arsenal on Monday night. They haven’t lost any Premier League match in Anfield since 2017, April 23.
The Klopp’s warrior last loss at Anfield in the league was on April 23, 2017, when Crystal Palace defeated Liverpool with 2-1, two goals from Christian Benteke.
Analysis on Liverpool vs Arsenal
Alexandre Lacazette properly utilized the mistake of Liverpool’s left back Andrew Robertson to give Arsenal a early lead. Lacazette scored in the 25th minute but Mane equalised the score just 3 minutes after conceding. Robertson didn’t get chance to feel guilty for the mistake he’s done. Andrew Robertson scored in the 34 minute to give Liverpool the first half lead.
Lacazette missed the golden chance to equalise in the second half. Lacazette’s miss was compounded on 88th minute when new signing Diogo Jota netted the debut goal for Liverpool. The match ended on 3-1 victory for Liverpool with Mane Robertson and Jota on the score sheet.
This win lifts champions above rivals, “Everton” by goal difference into second place. Meanwhile, Arsenal ranks fifth tasting their first defeat of the season.
Is Liverpool narrow win over Leeds, ‘A sign of Slipping?’
In the first match day, Liverpool faced Leeds United as their opponent. Leeds scored three goals against but unfortunately, couldn’t manage the win. Mohamed Salah played the brilliant role in saving his team. He scored hattrick in the very first match day. They managed to stop Leeds United who came to the Premier League after 16 years.
Positive sides for LFC
“The Reds” have already beaten the contenders like Chelsea and Arsenal. In the second match week, LFC faced Chelsea in the Stamford bridge. There too “The Reds” scored 2 goals against the host decorously. Chelsea were unable to score one against Klopp’s army. Despite of the brilliant signing like Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Thiago Silva, Chelsea were under control of Liverpool.
On the other hand, the top contender Manchester City faced a heart breaking defeat against Leicester City. Leicester City scored hand full 5 goals against former champions, with Jamie Vardy scoring hattrick. Therefore, it became quite easy for Klopp’s warrior when the top teams faced the early defeat.
